Movie English assignment#4

1. Blood Diamond includes two meaning. One is blood of war. There are a lot of people die because of war. The other is blood in order to get diamond. The diamond is so expensive. Therefor the diamond can sell by high price. Many slaves are used by soldiers in order to get diamond. A few people killed because they ignore soldier’s order. Many people killed by soldiers.

 

2. Leonaldo Dicaprio plays a diamond smuggler in this movie. He changed in this movie little by little. First, he was so selfish and avarice. After that he met one woman. She is a so beautiful journalist. I thought that this encounter made him change. She cooperated for him. He must love her. After that, he helped black. He has never helped black one time in this move. His personality changed. This moment is so impressive scene I think. Finally is this movie, he sacrificed himself to save black family. His behave was so cool. I also want to be such a man in the future I think.

 

3. I watched five stories in this class. These movies were so interesting for me. These movies include important messages. That is never giving up anything. Even it was the difficult situation. This is common in these stories which I watched. I want to be an English teacher in the future so I could think by replacing it with myself especially Freedom Writers and Coach Carter. To my surprise, I teach soccer to kids as a part time job. I deeply think about teaching something to other people. This is so difficult but I could learn how to approach to people by watching these movies. I have to act in my life from now on.   

 

4. I will evaluate these five movies from now. First of all, I watched Freedom Writers for the first time in the English movie class. This movie is 8 points. Actually I was impressed by this movie but I thought that it lack reality. If it were the same situation like the school, I would be a school teacher in the future. Next, I watched Coach Carter. This movie is 10 points. To my surprise, I also teach soccer to kids as a part time job now. That is to say, He and I are almost same situation. There a lot of things which I could sympathize with me in this movie. Third, I watched The pursuit of Happiness. This movie is 9 points. I could think about happiness by myself. Still I couldn’t find the answer but I could approach to the answer a little I thought. I was impressed by chief character especially Will Smith. His personality is perfect I thought. His so supported him. This story is so hart warming. The forth, I the movie is Erin Brockovich. This movie is 6 points. I gave the worst point in five movies. To be honest, I couldn’t enjoy this movie. I felt so long time in this movie. There was no change in this movie and I could predict the story. That is why I decided to give such the points. The last movie is Blood Diamond. This move is 10 points. It was so exiting movie. There are a lot of dangerous scenes in this movie. But I could enjoy this movie so much. I want to watch this movie again.

     

5. I could enjoy this class because I can watch English movie in the class. Before taking this class, honestly I didn’t like to watch movie. However, I enjoy watching movie this time. Probably, teacher’s choice was so good I thought. I can imagine by watching various movie. I decided to watch various movies from now on. Movie makes me gone to the place and era in movie. That is so interesting point. I watched many English movies in the class. Teacher not just made us watched these movies but these movies include various messages for example education, discrimination, job and so on. Teacher must have told us the importance of life from now on. I felt so. I could learn a lot of things about my life by watching this movie. I want to say that thank you.
