BR 1-12 The Genie in the Bottle

“I’m hungry,” shouted the genie. “I’ve been in that bottle for a long, long time.”

This story is about a fisherman, a bottle, and a big bad genie. Once upon a time, a fisherman went fishing. He caught slimy seaweed, shiny shells, smelly sock, and an old bottle. “Empty,” he sighed and he threw an old bottle away. The smoke turned into a big face. It is a genie. He said “I’m going to EAT you!” …

I thought the genie is very mean man. please try to read this book.

BR 1-10 The Reluctant Dragon

“The villagers were happy because they’d seen a fight. George was happy because he’d won”

This story is about a dragon, a boy, and a hero George. Dragon is had a bad image of violent. However this story’s dragon is inertia and like a poem. The dragon has a friend that a boy is one of villagers. The dragon told stories of long ago to a boy. There were dangerous dragons everywhere. And brave knights fought them to rescue princesses. They were very close. One day, the dragon was going to fight. But a boy hope to stop it. George said sure. So George and dragon also very close. this story is very good and hart warming.

BR 1-09 The Lion and the Mouse

“I was wrong. Even little friends can be good friends.” (p22)

It is very simple story. The lion was going to kill a mouse. The mouse said “Please don’t kill me. Maybe I can save your life too, one day.” The lion laughed them. One day, the lion walked into a trap. The mouse helped the lion from a trap. She nibbled through the ropes and lion was free. The lion said “I’m sorry, little mouse.” The lion accepted his wrong. I thought it is not good to judge a person from an appearance.
